Hawaii Leeward Planning Conferencewas incorporated December 30, 1974. Forward looking business people saw the need for an organization which would work with government to promote sound planning decisions for West Hawaii. HLPC is dedicated to monitor and review government agencies and assist them in making decisions and to alert and inform its members on issues relating to West Hawaii and their interests.
To provide continuity and achieve their goals, HLPC maintains a full-time staff with an office in Kamuela. Jacqui Hoover is the President and responsible for carrying out HLPC initiatives.
